On an early morning drive in Bandipur we spotted this incredible leopard. She was almost posing for us in the morning sun.

I totally fell in love with this beautiful animal.

On the way up to the top of Nandi hills we drove by what looked like a tank so of course I had to get out and have a look. It sure was a water tank. Square with steps, a little water and monkeys. Sneaky makaks !!!

I was looking at my friend Katrin Sorensson Persson’s beautiful macro pictures this morning and it was then I realized that I haven’t posted any here. I only posted some on my instagram account. So today it’s all about the hibiscus. A favourite of mine.

Thanks for the inspiration Katrin <: Have a look at her amazing pictures on instagram @katsor63

From our homestay Silver Brook Estate we decided to do a short 4 kilometer hike up to Botlappa cave temple. Beautiful but hot walk up through the coffee plantations and the jungle. A narrow winding road for what we thought bikers but no no no……it was for jeeps, cars and rickshaws. Amazing to get a close look at how people live around here. We met kids walking home from school and women who had been grocery shopping. We also met the greenest snake ever. Turned out it was not dangerous at all. So cool to be hiking in the tree tops in all the greenery.

Our little hike turned out to be longer and hotter than expected but it was totally worth every drop of sweat. Don’t miss the next post where I’ll show some picture of the temple itself.
Good shoes and socks are essential when hiking but also water ! See ya’ soon.

My hubby had his birthday last week so I decided to surprise him with a weekend trip to Coorg, the place called Scotland of India. We both like to walk, hiking, breathe fresh air and see new things so off we went in our car. Well, we didn’t drive. Our driver Ganga drove. When we asked about how long the car ride would be to get there everyone said around 5 hours but it actually took more than 6 due to the insane traffic in Bangalore. Took us 2 hours just to get out of Bangalore !

Even though the ride up was a little rough at times it sure was worth it. Our jeep driver was really skilled. It wasn’t his first drive on the bumpy roads.
I’ll show more from Coorg but be prepared. We are using our legs on this trip. No rickshaw ride at all. Strap on your hiking boots and fill a bottle of water. We need to stay hydrated. Let me know when you are ready <:

Walking is good for the body when recovering from spinal fusion surgery. Todays walk was actually the longest one since the surgery. I don’t walk fast so I do take in the scenery and since I always bring my camera I decided to get some pictures of the different wild flowers I found along the walk./ Att promenera är bra för kroppen när man återhämtar sig efter en stor ryggoperation.
Mother nature sure is fantastic. Colors, beauty and a little lady bug which is almost the first I have seen this summer but also a tired bumblebee./ Moder jord är fantastisk. Färg, skönhet och faktiskt en liten nyckelpiga som jag knappt har sett detta året och en trött humla.
Do you know what flowers it is?/ Vet du vad det är för vilda blommor?

and we started out our day by having a stroll along our riviera. Well, not the French one but looking at the picture you might think it is/ och vi började dagen med en promenad längs vår riviera, inte den franska, men man kan ju faktiskt tro det när man tittar på bilden

22 degrees C in Sweden at 7.30 in the morning on the 3 june !! has never happened before and I don’t think it will ever again. felt like I was walking along the beach in France with the azure blue water calling on me to get in. Since it’s only been 6 days I still have to wait a while before getting in.

I promised my hubbie though that I’ll join him and watch when he gets in for the first time this year. While looking at facebook I saw that some friends of mine where on a swimcamp….I actually wished I was there !….maybe a goal for next year ?

I guess I have to start out by seeing my physiotherapist first and that’s in a month….until then I’ll do my walks and some minor core exercises. This morning though was 1495 steps and that’s 6 days postop.

I’m in bed recovering after having major surgery done to my back so there’s not much I can do for a while. Happy that the surgery is over and that it went well. It was quite stressful up until they put the mask over my nose and they told me to fill my lungs with air. All of a sudden I’m awake on the other side of surgery feeling like I was hit by a truck.

On my way to a friend I had a quick stop at a lake close by. Turned out to be a short stop because the mosquitos loved me and I wasn’t prepared for them at all. But I just had to get some pictures of the damselflies that seemed to be everywhere. Red and blue, big and small and just lovely./ På väg till en kompis häromdagen tog jag vägen förbi Krankesjön ute på Revingehed.

they are so fascinating and beautiful but not really easy to get pictures of/ så vackra men inte helt lätta att fotografera.
