Yesterday we drove across the beautiful Oresundsbridgeto to go to Fredriksberg and the Cisterns in Copenhagen, the Danish capital.. A ride that took approximately an hour and a couple of minutes. / Igår gav vi oss ut på en liten utflykt över Öresundsbron till Fredriksberg och Cisternerne i Köpenhamn, Danmarks huvudstad. Tog oss lite mer än en timma att ta oss dit.

Since we have a BroBizz it’s so easy peasy to get across and so much cheaper. BroBizz is connected to our license plate so we don’t need a card. When crossing the border the machines reads our plate and voila ! that’s it./ Eftersom vi har ett BroBizz som är knutet till vår registreringsskylt så behöver vi ingenting. När vi kommer till gränsen läser maskinerna av vår skylt och hokus pokus öppnas grinden. Kan ju inte bli lättare.

The Cisterns is located in Fredriksberg in Copenhagen. The area holds the Cisterns, Fredriksberg Palace and Søndermarken Park which is a huge green recreational area. Almost opposite to the Cisterns is the zoo. The entrance into the Cisterns are two glass structures / Cisternerne hittar man i Fredriksberg i Köpenhamn. Området har Fredriksbergs slott och allt ligger i Søndermarkens  stora park. Mitt emot ligger Köpenhamns zoo. Ingången till Cisternerne är två glasskulpturer.

The cisterns is a subterranean reservoir that long time ago contained the supply of drinking water for the Danish capitol and held up tp 16 million liters of clean water. Excavation began in 1856 due to the need to get fresh clean drinking water and only 3 years later it was finished. By 1981 they where finally drained. In 1996 they where put to use as an exhibition space./ Cisternerne är en underjordisk vattenreservoar som en gång i tiden innehöll upp mot 16 miljoner liter rent dricks vatten. Utgrävningen påbörjades 1856 för att man behövde rent dricksvatten och den tog endast 3 år att färdigställa.1981 tömdes den på vatten och 1996 togs reservoaren i bruk som uställningslokal.

The temperature down below lay between 4-16 degrees celsius. The Cisterns is the only dripstone cave in Denmark. Natural formations of stalactites and stalagmites are found here./ Temperaturen under jord ligger mellan 4-16 grader celsius. Cisternerne är den enda droppstensgrottan i hela Danmark. Naturliga formationer av stalaktiter och stalagmiter finns här.

The ongoing exhibition IN IS THE ONLY WAY OUT by Jeppe Hein, april 15th-nov 30 2018./ Utställningen som pågår just nu heter IN IS THE ONLY WAY OUT av Jeppe Hein och pågår mellan den 15 april-30 november 2018. Entrance fee 70 danish krona for an adult/ Inträde 70 danska kronor.

Underground pictures calls for loooong exposures and sometime they turn out quite funny and somewhat different from what you thought they would. / Underjordiska bilder kräver lååånga exponeringstider och ibland blir bilderna rätt roliga och helt annorlunda än vad man tänkt sig.

The installation of flying balls and tibetan singing bowls was really interesting. You had to watch out so you didn’t get a ball in your head./ Installationen med flygande bollar och sjungande Tibetanska skålar var kul och intressant. Se upp så du inte får en boll i huvudet bara.

I think we spent about an hour underground so it felt really good to get out into the sunshine and the warmth. Fredriksberg palace is right there when you walk out of the park./ Jag tror vi var nere i underjorden i en timme så det var riktigt skönt att komma upp till sol och värme igen. På väg ut från parken kikade vi på slottet.
