Indias no 1 bike, the Hero
by the way
Have you heard about “Hari – a Hero for Hire” ? It’s a book written by the Swedish author Zac O’Yeah who since many years resides in India. After meeting him we just had to get some of his books and see what it was all about. Easy reading and quite entertaining since we can relate to Indian ways.

Faces of India
Posted on November 19, 2016
actually faces of Jaipur , people I met during my walk in the not -so -famous alleys of Jaipur

so many places where they made marble work..marble cutters making everything from small pieces to enormous ones…by hand using different tools
first time I visited a sticker cutting factory filled with hundreds of “shape cutters”…I asked if this was the only one around and to my surprise the owner said “oh, no mam, I think here’s around a hundred places like this in Jaipur” !
making and mending all day long

chai time…
marble cutters having their chai

a finished big heavy piece of marble being delivered to someone
so many curious faces peaking out of windows to get a glimpse of me and my camera

and some so not wanting to be captured but so curious of this strange looking lady
Through the alleys of Jaipur, Rajasthan, India

the other day I walked some of the “off the beaten track” alleys of Jaipur…filled with “old” havelis and beautiful architecture…”old” meaning it sure looks old and worn down but in reality it might not be so old ….as in many places around India you have to look beyond the dirt and the smells to see the beauty…

Hanuman langurs just hanging
Posted on November 12, 2016
around, chilling in the trees

how many langurs can hang in one tree ?

a visit to the hanuman langur temple is always fun….I think this is the closest I will get to these animals without being part of the pack…

seems they can sleep in any position possible…

zzzzzzzzz

this one just chilled out the whole time…looking left and right…nothing more, nothing less…

the small ones on the other hand are not still for one second….trying everything, testing everything…

smallest baby langur ever….

ooops, we did see a baby owl hanging out also…

a mothers warm embrace keeps you safe

amazing animal encounters
Tiny dragons and damsels with wings

beautiful tiny creatures that seem to love to play around the waterlilies

look at those wings..

they do come in all colours and they almost have a 360 degree vision

(I shot these beauties at our resort in Goa, India)
