Kunskapsskolans first swim academy
Posted on July 10, 2016

finally we have our swim programme up and running at Kunskapsskolan International, KI, Gurgaon,India….first and only one….so far !…and to my knowledge the only Swim Academy in all of Asia with a trained coach from Sweden who just happens to be me !

KI is a day board school which means the students have longer days with extra curricular subjects like sports, dance, music, art, woodwork etc, and swimming is one of the sports that the students can choose as part of their life skills sessions …I have created a curriculum for the swimming ( will be on the learning portal soon ) and I’m pretty sure we are the first school in India with a swim programme like this…

the small kids have splash and play in the splash pool

let’s see what we can accomplish until sometime in november because then we have to close the pool for the winter and hopefully we can open it up in march again….yes, it’s not easy to be a swimmer, worse if you are a competitive swimmer, in the northern parts of India, well, unless you have an indoor pool of course, but those are rare around here….I will keep you updated on our progress in the pool and if you are interested in joining our school or want to know more about our programme please contact me Susanna at
susanna.kig@ked.edu.in
Miss you already….

Dinner at Hotel Mossbylund
Posted on June 29, 2016
we got treated to dinner at Mossbylund yesterday (thank you mother) and as always it was yummy yummy….the surroundings with the sea view at the front and with our typical “skånska” landscape in the back puts the hotel in one of the most beautiful places you can think of….if you want to know more have a look at their homepage at http://www.mossbylund.se

Oresunds Bridge between Sweden and Denmark.
Posted on June 27, 2016
this beautiful creation is the bridge between Sweden and Denmark…the border between our countries is almost where the high pillars are…it was almost the blue sky that marked the border…

the bridge you see is 7.85 kilometers long but the whole connection with the tunnel etc is 15.9 kilometers long …..Copenhagen is one of my favourite cities in the world and it’s only an hour away by train from our place…(the train rides below the cars by the way)
If you ever travel to Europe you have to visit Copenhagen.
Exotic and magical

one of the perks of having-taking care of cats, is that you are up at the crack of dawn..sometimes even before that…hmmmm….but I so like the company at all the other hours of the day….back to the rise and shine around 4 in the morning…

from our balcony we have the most beautiful view of the ocean

magical and exotic….my paradise
Early morning beach treasures

I always seem to find something that I bring home…feathers, pebbles, drift wood…if I’m lucky I find a piece of amber….have a small collection in an old jar…could be turned into jewelry….maybe one day….
